Competitor information as of October 3, 2026, from the public sources listed below.

Who is respond.io for?

As of October 2026, respond.io describes itself as an AI-powered customer conversation platform that brings WhatsApp, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and email into one team inbox, with workflows, AI Agents, broadcasts and calling (respond.io). It shows a Meta Business Partner badge and connects WhatsApp through the official WhatsApp Business Platform (respond.io features).

It fits B2C sales, marketing and support teams that talk to customers on several channels and want mature automation on top. For example, a retailer answering Instagram DMs, Messenger and WhatsApp from one queue would get a lot from it.

A number already on the WhatsApp Business app can join through WhatsApp Coexistence, which keeps the app working but does not import history (respond.io Help).

Who is whatsappx.si for?

whatsappx.si is for teams whose customer conversations live mainly on WhatsApp and who want to start with the number they already use. Scan a QR code from the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app, the number becomes a linked device (the same feature WhatsApp Web uses), recent chat history syncs in, and everyone on the team can reply from one browser inbox at the same time.

On top of the inbox you get:

  • Teams and roles. Owner, admin and agent roles, email invites, chat assignment, unread counts and live updates; agents see only the chats assigned to them.
  • Keyword automations. Auto-replies triggered by keywords, which you can switch on or off and track with run counts. AI replies to customers are coming soon and are not available yet.
  • Knowledge base. Write articles once, and teammates can search them to find answers quickly.
  • Official API as an extra option. Connect numbers through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform with Embedded Signup and sync message templates. We recommend this route for high volume, templates and automation at scale.
  • REST API for developers. API keys, outbound webhooks for incoming messages and in-app API docs, for connecting your own systems or CRM.

For example, a two-person clinic front desk could link its existing number and reply to patients together from one inbox.

How does pricing work on each?

respond.io (as of October 2026, from respond.io/pricing) publishes USD prices with users and Monthly Active Contacts (MAC) as the main levers:

PlanBilled yearlyMonth-to-monthIncluded
Starter$79/month$99/month5 users, unlimited MACs
Growth$159/month$199/month10 users, from 1,000 MACs
Advanced$279/month$349/month10 users, from 1,000 MACs
EnterpriseCustomCustomUnlimited users

Extra users and MACs cost more. Broadcasts, workflows, AI Agents and the Developer API start at Growth; webhooks and SSO need Advanced. WhatsApp's fees are paid separately from a prepaid balance at Meta's rates with no markup (respond.io Help).

whatsappx.si has plans for USA (USD) and India (INR); see the pricing page. A QR-linked number has no Meta per-message fees, because it is a linked device of your own WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app, which Meta describes as free to use (WhatsApp Business FAQ). A number on the official WhatsApp Business Platform is billed by Meta per delivered message, by message category and the recipient's market (Meta pricing documentation).

How do you switch from respond.io to whatsappx.si?

  1. Decide which connection you will use

If your number is on the official WhatsApp Business Platform through respond.io, ask respond.io support how to disconnect it before you connect it to whatsappx.si through Meta Embedded Signup. If the number lives on the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app, link it by scanning a QR code.

  2. Export what you need from respond.io first

whatsappx.si does not import respond.io conversations, contacts, workflows or broadcasts. Export what you must keep before you cancel. With QR linking, recent chat history on the phone syncs in; with the official API, plan on starting from new messages.

  3. Rebuild automations in a simpler form

respond.io workflows and AI Agents have no direct equivalent. Recreate the essentials as keyword auto-replies, move reference answers into the knowledge base for your team, and use the REST API and webhooks for your own systems or CRM.

  4. Invite the team and set roles

Create a workspace, invite teammates by email, and set owner, admin or agent roles. Run both tools side by side for a few days before you cancel.

Frequently asked questions

Is whatsappx.si a replacement for respond.io?
Only for WhatsApp-focused teams. If you use respond.io for Instagram, Messenger, TikTok, email, calling, broadcasts or workflow automation, whatsappx.si does not replace those. If your team mainly answers WhatsApp and wants a shared inbox, roles, keyword auto-replies, a searchable knowledge base and a REST API, whatsappx.si can cover that with less setup, starting from the number you already have.
Can I connect the number I already use, like respond.io Coexistence?
Yes, in two ways. Scan a QR code and the number becomes a linked device of your WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app, with recent chat history syncing in; the phone must be used at least every 14 days. Or connect it through Meta's official WhatsApp Business Platform with Embedded Signup. As of October 2026, respond.io's Coexistence also keeps the app working, but history is not imported and the app must be opened every 14 days.
Does whatsappx.si have AI replies like respond.io's AI Agents?
Not yet. AI replies to customers are coming soon. Today whatsappx.si offers keyword-triggered auto-replies you can switch on or off, with run counts, and a knowledge base your teammates can search for answers. As of October 2026, respond.io offers AI Agents, AI Assist and AI summaries with AI credits per plan, so it is the stronger choice if you need AI automation now.
Does whatsappx.si send broadcasts like respond.io?
No. whatsappx.si does not have broadcast campaigns, and we do not encourage bulk sending from QR-linked numbers because WhatsApp prohibits bulk and automated messaging. As of October 2026, respond.io offers broadcasts from its Growth plan on the official API, which is the better route if campaigns to opted-in contacts are central to your work.
Which one is cheaper?
It depends on team size and contact volume. As of October 2026, respond.io publishes USD prices per user and per Monthly Active Contacts, with WhatsApp fees paid separately (see respond.io/pricing). whatsappx.si has plans for USA and India on its pricing page. A QR-linked number on whatsappx.si has no Meta per-message fees; official-API numbers on either tool pay Meta's rates.
Can my WhatsApp number be blocked when using either tool?
Yes. WhatsApp can restrict or ban any number that breaks its policies, whether it is connected by QR code or the official API. whatsappx.si is not affiliated with Meta, is not responsible for account restrictions and cannot restore an account. Use a new number normally for 15–20 days before connecting it, message only people who opted in, and send 5–10 messages at a time, never in bulk.
