The short answer

Both tools link an existing WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app number by scanning a QR code so a whole team can reply from one inbox. As of October 2026, choose Periskope for WhatsApp groups, tickets, SLAs, native CRM integrations and mobile apps. Choose whatsappx.si for a simpler inbox with roles, assignment and keyword auto-replies, plus an optional connection to Meta’s official WhatsApp Business Platform, which Periskope states it does not support.

The verdict

whatsappx.si or Periskope?

  • Periskope is stronger for groups and operations: as of October 2026, it offers group management, tickets and tasks, SLA-based rules, scheduled messages and team analytics (Periskope).
  • Periskope has native integrations and apps: as of October 2026, HubSpot, Zoho, Freshdesk, Google Sheets and Zapier, plus iOS and Android apps (Periskope). whatsappx.si offers a REST API and webhooks instead, and has no mobile apps.
  • whatsappx.si fits teams that want a focused inbox: scan a QR code to link your existing number, give each teammate their own sign-in, set owner/admin/agent roles, assign chats and set up keyword auto-replies.
  • whatsappx.si also offers an official connection: connect numbers through Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform with Embedded Signup and Meta-synced templates. As of October 2026, Periskope’s FAQ says it does not support WhatsApp Business API numbers.
  • Both are independent of WhatsApp and Meta: Periskope’s terms call it an unofficial tool (Periskope terms), and whatsappx.si is not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta. A QR-linked number on either stays subject to WhatsApp’s policies. Periskope sells bulk-messaging credits; whatsappx.si does not offer bulk broadcasts.

Who is Periskope for?

As of October 2026, Periskope is built for operations, sales and support teams that work through many regular WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app numbers and many WhatsApp groups. It connects numbers by scanning a QR code from WhatsApp’s “Link device” screen and syncs every chat and group the number is part of (Periskope docs).

On top of the inbox it offers group management, tickets and tasks, SLA notifications, a rules engine, AI flagging and reply suggestions, bulk messaging credits, and native integrations with HubSpot, Zoho, Freshdesk, Google Sheets and Zapier (Periskope). It launched iOS and Android apps in March 2026 (Periskope blog) and states ISO/IEC 27001 certification and GDPR compliance (Periskope security).

One deliberate limit: Periskope’s FAQ says it does not support WhatsApp Business API (WABA) numbers (Periskope), so there are no Meta-approved templates; everything runs through linked devices.

Who is whatsappx.si for?

whatsappx.si is for teams that want to turn the WhatsApp they already have into one shared inbox without a heavy operations layer. You scan a QR code, recent chat history syncs in, and every teammate signs in with their own account to search, open and reply to chats at the same time.

  • Roles and assignment. Owners, admins and agents; agents see only their assigned chats.
  • Keyword automations. Auto-replies triggered by keywords, which you can switch on or off and whose run counts you can see.
  • Knowledge base. Write articles your teammates can search by keyword to find answers quickly.
  • An optional official connection. Connect numbers through Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform with Embedded Signup and create templates that sync with Meta.
  • Developers. A REST API with API keys and outbound webhooks for incoming messages.

For example, a dental clinic could link its existing number by QR code on day one, then add an official API number later for appointment reminders using approved templates.

How does pricing work on each?

Periskope publishes per-user pricing in USD, INR and BRL. As of October 2026, Starter is $25 per user per month billed monthly or $15 billed annually, Pro is $35 monthly or $25 annually, and Enterprise is custom with a minimum of 50 users or phones. In the INR view, Starter is ₹2,000 (monthly) or ₹1,200 (annual) and Pro is ₹3,000 or ₹2,000. Each license includes one user and the first connected phone; on monthly billing, extra phones cost $25 (Starter) or $35 (Pro) each per month. Paid add-ons cover AI credits, extra rules, onboarding and support, and prices exclude tax (Periskope pricing; pricing update effective 1 September 2026). Because Periskope connects regular numbers only, there are no Meta per-message fees.

whatsappx.si offers plans for the USA and India; see the pricing page for current details. QR-linked numbers carry no Meta messaging fees. If you also connect numbers through the official WhatsApp Business Platform, Meta bills per delivered message by category and market, separately from your plan (Meta pricing).

How do you switch from Periskope to whatsappx.si?

  1. Link the same number by QR code

WhatsApp allows up to four linked devices per number, so you can keep Periskope connected while you try whatsappx.si. Recent chat history syncs into the new inbox; nothing is imported from Periskope.

  2. Invite your team and set roles

Send email invites, choose owner, admin or agent for each person, and decide which agents should see only their assigned chats.

  3. Recreate what matters

Periskope rules, tickets and group workflows do not transfer. Rebuild simple cases as keyword auto-replies, move reference answers into the knowledge base, and point your systems at the REST API and webhooks. There are no built-in CRM integrations.

  4. Add an official number if you need templates

Connect a number through the WhatsApp Business Platform with Embedded Signup. If you ever move a Business app number onto the API through Meta’s coexistence onboarding, Meta unlinks its companion devices, so plan that for a quiet period.

  5. Unlink the old device when ready

Once your team is working in whatsappx.si, remove the Periskope device from WhatsApp’s Linked devices screen.

Frequently asked questions

Is whatsappx.si a replacement for Periskope?
For a small team that mainly answers 1:1 chats from one shared inbox, it can be. If you depend on WhatsApp group management, tickets, SLA rules, bulk sending, analytics or native CRM integrations, Periskope covers more of that as of October 2026. whatsappx.si fits when you want a simpler inbox with keyword auto-replies, plus the option to connect Meta’s official WhatsApp Business Platform, which Periskope says it does not support.
Can I run Periskope and whatsappx.si on the same number at once?
Usually yes. WhatsApp lets a number link up to four devices at a time, and each tool counts as one linked device (WhatsApp Help Center). Keep in mind that your primary phone must open WhatsApp at least every 14 days or linked devices log out, and that both tools share the same chat threads.
Does Periskope support the official WhatsApp Business API?
As of October 2026, Periskope’s FAQ says it does not support WhatsApp Business API (WABA) numbers; it connects regular WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business app numbers by QR code (Periskope). whatsappx.si supports both: QR linking and the official WhatsApp Business Platform with Embedded Signup, phone-number verification and Meta-synced templates.
Will my chat history move from Periskope to whatsappx.si?
Not directly. There is no import for Periskope exports. When you link the same number to whatsappx.si by QR code, WhatsApp syncs recent chat history into the new inbox, much like signing in to WhatsApp Web. Older conversations may not appear, and Periskope tickets, notes and rules stay in Periskope.
Can I connect a brand-new WhatsApp number to whatsappx.si?
You can, but wait first. Use a new number normally for 15–20 days before linking it, then send 5–10 messages at a time to people who opted in, never in bulk. Otherwise WhatsApp may restrict or block the number. whatsappx.si is not affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta, is not responsible for restrictions and cannot restore a blocked account; that is handled between you and Meta.
Which tool is better for WhatsApp groups and bulk sending?
Periskope. As of October 2026, group management is central to its product, with scheduled messages, group analytics and bulk-messaging credits (Periskope). whatsappx.si focuses on 1:1 customer conversations in a shared inbox and does not offer group management or bulk broadcasts, because WhatsApp’s terms prohibit bulk and automated messaging and the number could be blocked (WhatsApp Help Center).
