What is Trengo?
As of October 2026, Trengo is a customer engagement platform based in Utrecht, the Netherlands. It brings WhatsApp Business, email, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, live chat and voice into one shared inbox, with an AI Agent and AI Journeys for repetitive conversations (Trengo). It is a Meta Business Partner and WhatsApp Business Partner (Trengo, About Trengo).
Trengo connects WhatsApp through the official WhatsApp Business API. A number already on the WhatsApp Business app can be added with WhatsApp Coexistence: you log in to Meta, verify the number with a code and scan a QR code to sync chats. Meta may disconnect the app from Trengo if it is not used at least once every 14 days (Trengo Help).
What does whatsappx.si do differently?
whatsappx.si is a web app built around one idea: scan the WhatsApp you already have, and the whole team replies from one inbox.
- Scan a QR code. Your existing WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app number becomes a linked device, like WhatsApp Web. Recent chat history syncs in and your phone keeps working. WhatsApp allows up to four linked devices and logs them out if the phone is unused for over 14 days (WhatsApp Help Center).
- Reply as a team. Everyone signs in separately and works from one shared inbox, with owner, admin and agent roles, chat assignment, unread counts and live updates.
- Automate the routine. Keyword-triggered auto-replies answer common questions today, and you can switch each rule on or off. AI replies are coming soon.
Additional features: you can also connect numbers through Meta’s official WhatsApp Business Platform with Embedded Signup inside the app (we recommend it for high volume, approved templates and automation at scale), create message templates and sync them with Meta, keep a knowledge base your teammates can search for answers, and connect other tools through a REST API with outbound webhooks.

Teams that answer customers on several channels, for example in e-commerce, hospitality or travel, and want them in one place with AI agents, native integrations and a European vendor. As of October 2026 plans start at 10 users, so it suits teams rather than individuals.
whatsappx.si: WhatsApp-first teams
Small and mid-sized teams in the USA and India for whom WhatsApp is the main customer channel, who want to link the number they already use, reply together from one browser inbox and handle common questions with keyword auto-replies.
How is pricing different?
Trengo publishes plans in EUR, converted to USD or GBP at live rates. As of October 2026, Boost is €299 per month billed annually (€349 month-to-month) with 10 users and 6,000 conversations a year; Pro is €499 per month billed annually (€599 month-to-month) with 20 users and 18,000 conversations a year; Enterprise is custom. Extra conversations, conversations with AI, extra users and broadcasting cost more. There is a 7-day free trial with no credit card (Trengo pricing, Trengo trial). Meta’s per-message charges for the official API are separate, and from 1 October 2026 service messages beyond 1,000 per number per month are billable (Trengo Help, Meta pricing).
whatsappx.si will have separate plans for the USA (USD) and India (INR); prices are not published yet, so a direct cost comparison is not possible today. One structural difference: a QR-linked number is your own WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app account on a linked device, and Meta describes the Business app as free to use (WhatsApp Business FAQ). Numbers on the official platform pay Meta’s per-message rates through either product.
How do you switch from Trengo to whatsappx.si?
Export what you need from Trengo
Conversation history, labels and internal notes in Trengo do not transfer into whatsappx.si. Check Trengo’s help center for export options before you cancel.
Decide how the number will connect
If the number still lives on the WhatsApp Business app on your phone, link it by QR code; recent history syncs from the phone. If it runs on the official platform through Trengo, plan the handover with Trengo and Meta before you connect it through Embedded Signup.
Set up the workspace
Invite teammates by email, assign roles, recreate auto-replies as keyword rules and, for official numbers, sync templates. Reconnect other tools through the REST API and webhooks; Trengo’s native integrations have no direct equivalent.
Run both for a short overlap
Keep Trengo active until the team is comfortable, then cancel. Email, social and voice channels will need another tool.
